for the Rescheduled
Tangerine Dream
Starlight Concert
Tangerine Dream's rescheduled Starlight concert is now set for Friday June 24, 2011. The gig takes place in Tenerife as part of the Starmus Festival, a unique scientific, artistic and musical event that runs from June 20 to 25. The event is the brainchild of Dr. Garik Israelian, an astrophysicist at the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias (Canarian Astrophysics Institute, IAC).
Astrophotography, space-art exhibitions, documentaries, star parties, talks and conferences are just some of the activities that will delight music fans and astronomy aficionados alike. The Festival includes trips to the unforgettable observatories on La Palma and Tenerife. And of course, topping it all will be a memorable evening of music from one of the most extraordinary music groups of all time: Tangerine Dream.
The Festival is timed to honor the first man in space, the legendary Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
